Megan Falconer is a silversmith and toolmaker who creates unique, handcrafted tools and silverware using rocks from the Scottish landscape. Working with rocks with different characteristics and qualities, Megan uses bronze casting to create silversmithing tools to produce collections of silver vessels. Her craft explores the connection between the tool, the maker and the object created.

Through the exploration of materials and technical processes, Megan interprets the natural decay and erosion of her surrounding landscape through textural surfaces onto metal. By combining traditional techniques with contemporary practices, she creates functional and decorative silverware, which highlights the irreplaceable qualities of both.
